  You CAN pull a snake's skin off and help it, but it should only be done if needed. Also, you have to soak it in warm water or something beforehand so the skin will come off easily and painlessly. If the skin ever seems to become harder to pull off DO NOT continue pulling. Just let the snake finish the shedding itself. This message is for anyone who's interested, but mainly for amateur snake owners.
